Not-A-Box

We recently got a wonderfully fun book called Not a Boxby Anoinette Portis.  My amazingly literary husband picked it out - and I marvel at his ability to always choose the good ones!

This simple story is about a bunny, a box, and imagination.  The bunny insists that the box is Not a Box! 

So, when we happened to get a box this week that was the perfect size for a little guy, we declared it a Not a Boxand lots of fun ensued!  Carter knew just what to do with it...  Has sat down and drove it like a racecar, then he colored it and added some dot paints.  Finally, we cut some doors in the sides and our Not a Boxwas ready to provide hours - days, actually - of fun!!

A race car.

A flying race car (flapping the "door wings").

A place to sleep.
