"I Forgive You"

My unruly children were sent outside to play...since they couldn't play quietly inside.  (Gosh...I sound like my mother!)  They were not out there 5 minutes when Allison starts crying and comes to stand by the sliding glass door for sympathy.

Jim goes to investigate the situation and here's what they say...

     ALLISON: Carter broke this!

Trying his best to ward-off punishment for the alleged distruction...
     CARTER: I forgive you.

Smiling at Carter's mistake...
     DADDY: Did you hear Carter? I think he's been paying attention in church.
